- Bus departs Embassy Suites Hotel at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, and will return around 4 pm.
- Space is limited to 40 people.
- Conference attendees and their spouse only.
- The $25 per person cost covers the transportation to and from the hotel. No personal vehicle will be allowed.
- U.S. citizens only and proof of U.S. citizenship will be required at the tour. Valid U.S. passport is highly recommend.
- Restrictions:
- No cameras
- No laptops, netbook, iPad/Android Pad, etc.
- No video/voice recorders or cell phones with photo/video capability
- No shorts and no open toe shoes.
- All visitors must be 8 years old or older
- All visitors must prove U.S. person status (one of the documents listed below is required to prove citizenship).
We will verify you have the appropriate document when you board the bus, if you don't have it, you will not allow to
go on the tour. One of the following is required for entrance to the Decatur facility:
- United States Passport (unexpired or expired)
- Original U.S. Certificate of Naturalization
- Original or certified copy of a Birth Certificate issued by a state, county, municipal authority, or outlying possession of the United States, bearing an official seal
- Boeing, Lockheed Martin or U.S. Government identification that indicates U.S. person status
- In addition to the above, a Government picture I.D. such as a driver license is also required.
- Children under the legal driving age are not expected to provide a Government Driver license, but they will be required to present one of the other documents listed above to prove their status as a US person.

NASA Marshall Space Flight Center
- We will close the Marshall Space Flight Center tour when all of the spots are filled or on May 9, 2011 depending which comes first.
- No personal vehicle will be allowed. If you want to take this tour, you must take the bus and purchase the ticket.
- The $5 per person includes bottled water and light morning refreshments.
- Space is limited to 60 people. Conference attendees and their spouse only.
- Bus departs Embassy Suites Hotel at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
- U.S. Citizens must present one form of government-furnished picture identification: a driver's license, state ID, or equivalent.
- Name registered must match the photo ID as the ALL tour participants names will be submitted to NASA security office for background check.
- NASA MSFC Tour - Foreign Nationals Needs to Submit Your Paper Work by April 21. SORRY. We are not accepting foreign national
at this time.
For non-U.S. Citizens that have sign up or going sign up for NASA Marshall Space Flight Center tour, you need to fill out the background check request form. Attached high quality scanned images of 2 photo IDs (one of them your must be your passport) and EMAIL IT TO to NSS (EMAIL ADDRESS ON THE FORM). Only forms submitted to NSS will be processed.

Von Braun Astronomical Society (VBAS) Observatory Tour and Show [Sold Out]
- Situated on top of Monte Sano mountain in Huntsville, the tour will consist of history of the observatory , built by the Wernher von Braun and his team, planetarium show and look through the telescopes.

- Bus departs Embassy Suites Hotel at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2011, and will return around 10 pm.
- Space is limited to 75 people. 50 on bus and 25 with own transportation.
- the private tour is sold out. If you have your own transportation, VBAS has a weekly public planetarium show at 7:30 on Saturdays that you can attend.
Sidewalk Astronomy Presented by Von Braun Astronomical Society (VBAS)
- Sidewalk astronomy allows the public to view bright objects in the current sky such as bright planets and the moon without the need to visit a planetarium.
- The Von Braun Astronomical Society (VBAS) is bringing the telescopes to you! See Saturn and the moon from the conference Friday and Saturday starting at 7pm outside the hotel
U.S. Space and Rocket Center (USSRC) Museum
- ISDC 2011 attendees can visit the U.S. Space and Rocket Center (USSRC) Museum for $11 or museum plus a movie for $18. Price is per person. Regular prices are: $20 and $25, respectively. The movie does not include any feature films USSRC is running. USSRC have space related movies in both the IMAX and 3D theaters every day.
- No advance ticket purchase is required. Ticket is purchased at the museum entrance.
- Attendees must show their ISDC 2011 conference badges or proof the conference registration (email receipt from NSS or PayPal saying you have registerered) to Guest Services when they enter the museum to get the discount. Cannot be combined with any other discounts.
- Scheduled transportation to and from U.S. Space and Rocket Center from Embassy Suites Hotels during the conference (May 18-22) is in work, but not confirmed. Exact time is to be determined. You are welcomed to take your own vehicle there.
- Museum hours - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Jack Daniel Distillery [Group Tour NOT AVAILABLE]
- Jack Daniel Distillery. Due to insufficient interests, we are not offering a group tour. If you have your own transporation, you can drive up to Lynchburg Tennessee, which is less than an hour drive from the hotel, and do an individual tour.
